The 983-6S16-10S7 from Deutsch is 983 series, MIL-DTL-83723 series III equivalent straight plug with 10 contacts. These high reliability 983 series connectors are designed for harsh environment areas, engines and boosters. 983 series are in accordance with the standards EN 2997, MIL-DTL-83723 series III, NF-L 54143, SAE/AS 39029, EN 3155 and ESC30 for electrical contacts. As per specifications SBAC ESC10 and Boeing BACC63, 983 series electrical connector are intermatable and interchangeable with MIL-DTL-83723 series III, NF-L 54143 and Deutsch 83730 series connectors. The 983 series connectors have anti-rotation, reduced elastomer barriers for use with newer and older generation wires. These connectors are designed to withstand extreme shock, exposure and vibration.
