The BQ25700AEVM-732 from Texas Instruments is a SMBus NVDC buck-boost charger evaluation module (EVM). It is an SMBus controlled NVDC (narrow voltage DC) buck boost charge controller with N-CH MOSFET selector and current monitoring offering a low component count, high efficiency solution for space-constrained, multi-chemistry battery charging applications. The input voltage range for the buck converter is between 3.5V and 24V with a programmable output of 1-4 cells and a charge output current range of 128mA to 8.128A. EVM features accelerate charge time by battery path impedance compensation, charge status outputs for LED or host processor, maximum power tracking capability by input voltage regulation.
