ANT5-M24LR-A antenna reference board is a ready to use PCB that includes four M24LR64-R dual interface EEPROM ICs connected to a 13.56MHz etched RF antenna on one side, and to an I2C bus on the other side. The M24LR64-R is organized as 8192 ? 8 bits in the I2C mode and as 2048 ? 32 bits in the ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 mode 1 RF mode. It can be operated from a VCC power supply and is also a contactless memory powered by the received carrier electromagnetic wave. Both interfaces are widely used industry standards. The design principle of the M24LR64-R antenna is very simple, the external antenna inductance that needs to be designed on board the PCB should match the M24LR64-R internal tuning capacitance in order to create a circuit resonating at 13.56MHz. Board allows system designers to evaluate the M24LR64-R IC in multibank configuration since the board is seen as a 256Kbit memory split into 4 banks of equal size.
